Senior Key Account Manager (100%)

Your contribution

As a Key Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic growth for Tecan’s OEM and Partnering Business. You will manage current key accounts on a global level and build lasting relationships with partners and customers at all levels, including C-suite executives from start-ups to large multinationals.

 

Responsibilities

  • Proactively manage assigned accounts to drive and grow new orders and revenue
  • Own the budget, forecast, and relationship of assigned global and regional accounts
  • Lead contract negotiations and close complex development and supply agreements
  • Develop and write proposals, manage pricing, and ensure gross profit targets are met
  • Understand target markets, key applications, industry trends, and the competitor landscape
  • Ensure overall customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships, including regular C- and D-level exchanges between the companies
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams (Customer Project Management, Product Management, Legal, R&D, Finance, Service, Operations, QARA, Sales Order Desk)
  • Attend conferences, trade shows, and customer meetings
  • Adhere to company guidelines, agreement terms, and code of conduct

 

Your background

  • Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related science field; PhD is a plus
  • Further education in Business Administration, Business Management, or Strategic Selling is desirable
  • Minimum 3 years' experience managing large accounts in an international environment
  • Minimum 5 years' sales experience in Diagnostics, MedTech, or Life Sciences, with established contacts
  • Proven experience negotiating and closing complex business-to-business contracts
  • Excellent English; German and other languages are an advantage
  • Strong negotiating and persuasion skills
  • Strong account management skills
  • Proven track record in achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Eye for detail, especially in contracts
  • Assertiveness and a confident manner
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Seniority and a winning attitude
