Job Description

The Distribution Associate will mainly assist with shipping and receiving tasks in LGC's warehouse. This role involves handling product reception and preparation for both local and global deliveries following ISO 13485 quality standards.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the following essential functions satisfactorily:

  • Package products under supervisor’s mentorship following SOP’s and written instructions that meet company, customer, and regulatory requirements
  • Receive, inspect, and handle incoming materials in accordance with SOP’s and written guidelines to align with company, customer, and regulatory standards
  • Assign lot numbers in Microsoft Access database
  • Ensure production supplies and inventory are accurately labeled and stored
  • Accurately print and apply labels to packaging materials, manually and with automated equipment
  • Handle domestic and international shipments with mentorship from the supervisor
  • Participate in physical inventory activities, such as routine cycle counts, to maintain inventory integrity
  • Potential handling of dangerous good items
  • Support distribution activities as needed
  • Thoroughly grasp and adhere to the demands of the ISO 13485 quality management system
  • Adhere to company Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) policy
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience required
  • Prior experience with material handling and preparation of finished product for shipment
  • Strong dedication to quality and continuous improvement
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access)
  • Experience working with information technology, including database software

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience with dangerous goods handling
  • FedEx and UPS shipping systems
  • Prior experience with material handling and preparation of finished product for shipment, in a manufacturing or biotech organization
