About the Role
We’re seeking a Early Childhood Recruitment Specialist to support our growing network of Houston-area preschool campuses. This hybrid position combines remote flexibility with regular visits to schools in Houston (and occasional travel to Austin). The Recruitment Specialist will play a key role in attracting exceptional educators and building relationships that strengthen our organization from the inside out.
You’ll be a strategic partner to school directors, helping ensure every child’s experience begins with a strong team of passionate, qualified educators.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract top talent for our schools.
- Build relationships with local educational institutions and community organizations to create a talent pipeline.
- Coordinate and conduct initial candidate screenings and ensure a smooth handoff to hiring managers.
- Organize and participate in recruitment events such as job fairs and open houses.
Hiring & Onboarding
- Work with applicants to ensure all paperwork is completed in a timely manner and uploaded to Rippling.
- Run background checks, and ensure clearances are obtained prior to start dates
- Complete all tasks associated with onboarding new employees; including but not limited to: sending offer letters, sending/collecting new hire paperwork, completing the hiring process in Rippling, confirming start dates, coordinating with center directors, setting up accounts and passwords, and checking in as needed to ensure a smooth transition.
- Ensure that each new administrator that is hired receives a laptop. Coordinate with the teams for set up.
Required Qualifications
- Prior leadership experience in an Early Childhood Education setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of full-cycle recruiting or related HR experience, ideally within education.
- Strong Fluency, with ability to read, write, and speak in both Spanish and English is required .
- Solid understanding of ECE principles and teacher credentialing programs (CDA, etc.).
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
Essential Functions
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and respond quickly in emergency situations.
- Ability to travel regularly to campuses in Houston and occasionally to Austin.
- Must pass an enhanced fingerprint-based background check.
