As a Coil Winder, you will be responsible for the automatic winding and welding of coils used in our transformers, contributing to the craftsmanship that Central Moloney is known for.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate automatic coil winding and welding machines.
- Follow engineering specifications and production schedules accurately to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Monitor machine operations and adjust settings to meet coil specifications and quality standards.
- Inspect finished coils for quality assurance and make necessary adjustments or repairs.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve production processes.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in manufacturing or machine operation preferred.
- Knowledge of coil winding processes and welding techniques is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills for operating machinery and recording production data.
- Willingness to follow safety protocols and contribute to a safe work environment.
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and stand for long periods.
Physical and Environmental Requirements
- Lifting: Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
- Environment: Work in a facility with loud noise, extreme temperatures, and environmental stressors.
- Physical Activities: Sit, stand, walk, bend, climb, crouch, reach, and grasp as needed.
- PPE: Wear the required PPE, including eye and hearing protection, gloves, and safety toe footwear.
- Dexterity and Vision: Manual dexterity and specific vision abilities (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment).
- Stamina: Stand for long shifts.
- Skills: Effective communication, basic math skills, and teamwork.
- Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and address hazards.
