Role Overview


The Impact and Communications Analyst at Advantage Capital will support the execution of the firm’s impact investing strategy, storytelling and stakeholder engagement. He or she will need to bring a detail-oriented and creative approach to conducting in-depth research and identifying actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making across the organization. 

Combining analytical thinking with creativity to capture and communicate market trends, audience behaviors and organizational opportunities, the Impact Analyst will bridge the firm’s data and marketing functions and strategically support the Chief Impact Officer’s thought leadership.

Research and Insights Administration


· Conduct quantitative and qualitative research to collect data and information from various sources – extracting insights that inform decisions, strategies and stories.

· Help translate complex content into clear, compelling and actionable reports and presentations for various internal and external stakeholders.

· Support the department Senior Vice Presidents and Chief Impact Officer in identifying trends and opportunities that inform investment decisions and direct internal/external narratives.

· Assist with impact measurement methodology, gather and communicate results of impact initiatives such as portfolio company survey responses.

· Specific example activities include:

o Market research, data visualization, IC and other meeting prep materials.


Marketing and Communications Coordination


· Support Content Manager, Communications Manager and Senior Marketing Manager in materials development and distribution.

· Assist in planning and promoting event participation and sponsorships; manage master event calendar and coordinate accordingly.

· Observe and implement best practices – ensuring the firm understands and exceeds industry standards and innovates around content production and promotion.

· Monitor, measure and report analytics for digital marketing performance across website and social media. Identify and implement a regular results reporting and insights sharing process.

· Specific example activities include:

o Conference coordination, website maintenance, white paper and other content creation.

Qualifications


· Bachelor’s degree in data science, sociology, marketing, communications or related field.

· Ability to operate within matrixed organization, managing multiple projects and stakeholders.

· Strong research and problem-solving skills. Strong writing and interpersonal skills.


Preferred Experience


· Finance/investment industry experience.

· Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

· Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Adobe InDesign and Illustrator.

· Experience with software like Tableau, Power BI or similar platforms.

· Experience with Google Analytics or other digital insights tools.

· Experience working with CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.).

· Knowledge of AP Style or similar editorial guidelines.
