The eSports Head Coach oversees all aspects of the eSports club program at Hastings College. This part-time exempt role includes but is not limited to athlete development, driving the team toward success in competitions, as well as guiding and mentoring students to be successful academically, socially and athletically at Hastings College.
Develop and implement effective practice schedules, training regimens, and competition strategies for esports teams.
Manage the esports budget and work with college staff to maintain equipment.
Provide expert instruction on game-specific strategies, mechanics, communication, and teamwork.
Lead video-on-demand (VOD) review sessions to analyze gameplay and provide constructive feedback.
Foster the personal, academic, and athletic development of each student-athlete.
Promote a culture of sportsmanship, integrity, and respect among team members.
Ensure compliance with all college policies and league regulations.

Education & Experience:
Bachelor's Degree preferably in Media, Broadcast or Journalism but not limited to those areas; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
One year of experience related to media and/or esports, knowledge and experience with video and livestreaming equipment, as well as collegiate esports programs, such as but not limited to multiplayer online video games with team-based elements and expert knowledge of Overwatch, Rocket League, Discord or similar games.
