Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Reads work order or follows instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
• Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks and shelves.
• Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area.
• Counts and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet.
• Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or mark information on cases or other containers.
• Stacks or assembles materials and finished containers and bands together.
• Lift heavy objects by hand or with power hoist, and cleans work area, machines, and
equipment to assist machine operators.
• Maintains and cleans the silo area, cleans up resin spills if necessary
• Keeps operations supplied with clean sorted regrind.
• Cleans vacuum pumps on a daily basis
• Loads materials such as plastics, into machine hoppers or into vehicles and containers barrels or gaylords.
• Operates tow motor or forklift to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
• Tracks and documents the inventory and traceability of rail cars and manages the unloading of the rail cars into the assigned silo's.
• Coordinates the pickup of empty rail cars with purchasing.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Follows all safety rules and procedures and observes the operations to insure a safe environment.
• Upholds Site and Corporate Environmental Policies by following all Environmental Policies, Procedures and Work Instructions.
• Responsible for ensuring the compliance of “Food Product Safety” & “Product Quality” of the molded product, to meet the expectation of our customers.
• Understands and follows Hazard Materials Regulations 49 CFR Part 172.704 (a)(1) General awareness/familiarization training, (a)(3) Safety training, and (a)(4) Security awareness training
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms. They employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move more than 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
