We are seeking a meticulous AVP of Quality Assurance and Quality Control to join our Loan Administration team. Reporting to the SVP of Operations, The Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Quality Assurance and Quality Control is responsible for overseeing and enhancing the quality and compliance of both loan and deposit documentation across the organization. This role ensures operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and accurate documentation through proactive oversight, staff development, and process improvement. The AVP leads teams responsible for post-closing loan reviews, deposit documentation accuracy, and SOX-related controls, while collaborating across departments to implement efficiencies and uphold the highest standards of quality.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Quality Assurance (Compliance Focus)
  • Oversee loan and deposit first-line-of-defense audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Monitor regulatory documentation requirements and ensure proper imaging and exception tracking.
  • Serve as backup for SOX-related reporting and provide lead coverage as needed.
  • Resolve complex issues related to compliance regulations.
  • Quality Control (Accuracy of Documentation and Systems Focus)
  • Oversee daily operations related to loan and deposit documentation and system maintenance across departments.
  • Ensure client documentation complies with applicable laws and regulations, including BSA.
  • Ensure loan approvals and documentation align with regulatory and internal standards.
  • Monitor regulatory documentation requirements and ensure proper imaging and exception tracking.
  • Maintain and improve procedures and controls within the file maintenance reporting system.
  • Monitor and enhance documentation storage software performance.
  • Leadership Responsibilities
  • Manage department-impacting projects, collaboration, and ensure effective training and communication.
  • Lead and develop high-performing teams- provide strategic guidance and mentorship to the Documentation Specialist Leader and the Compliance Specialist Leader. Share your deep understanding of commercial, personal, and specialized lending to enhance team capabilities.
  • Be a talent builder and people-first leader – hire, onboard, and grow top talent. Provide transparent, constructive feedback and support professional development.

 

 QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 7–10 years of experience in commercial and consumer loan processing/documentation.
  • 5+ years of banking deposit documentation experience.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and deep knowledge of banking regulations and policies.
  • Strong analytical, strategic, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with loan origination software preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

The typical annual base pay range for this role is between $94,500 - $114,000. Compensation may vary based on individual job-related knowledge, skills, expertise, and experience. This position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance.
