Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the enrolment process of learners at the College e.g. Further Education, Higher Education, School Link etc.
- Collect and enter data required for the management of the College and for all external awarding and funding bodies; ensuring accurate data is maintained on the College MIS.
- Assist with data checking exercises required in preparation for timely MEDR funding returns.
- Assist with the administration of registration and examination procedures where required.
- Assist with the receipt and distribution of examination results and certificates in liaison with the campus office.
- Contribute to the collection and entry of attainment data in support of funding and performance monitoring.
- Support the process of providing attendance confirmation and academic history data e.g. academic reference requests.
- Act as a point of contact for the registry department with regards to the administration of student records, attendance registers and checklisting.
- Communicate with a range of departments internally and externally to ensure the recording of accurate student records on the College MIS.
- Carry out any other duties as directed by the Principal/Chief Executive commensurate with the grade of the post at the initial place of work or other locations within the College.
Person Specification
- Appropriate Qualifications to Level 3 or equivalent experience
- GCSE English or O level Minimum Grade C or CSE Grade 1 equivalent
- GCSE Mathematics or O level Minimum Grade C or CSE Grade 1 equivalent
- Relevant experience of administration
- Good communicator with diplomacy and tact
- Good interpersonal and organisational skills
- Ability to work harmoniously with colleagues
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Good presentational skills
- Competence in the use of a range of IT systems and packages
- Use of data bases for recording and reporting data
- An understanding of Further and Higher Education issues
- Experience of working in partnership with external agencies
- Welsh Oracy (Listening/Speaking) - Level 0/1 Desirable
- Welsh Literacy (Writing/Reading) - Level 0/1 Desirable
