OV – Order Verifier / Recovery Technician
ABOUT THE ROLE
The OV (Order Verifier) and Recovery Technician ensures that every order leaving our system is accurate, complete, and ready for production and delivery, while also taking ownership of correcting issues when variances occur. This role is all about precision, accountability, and follow-through—reviewing order details, verifying measurements, confirming product specifications, and catching errors before they become costly variances. When issues are identified, the Recovery Technician side of this role takes over: researching the root cause, coordinating corrective action, and ensuring timely resolution so customers receive the right product the first time. By acting as both a safeguard and a problem solver, this position is a critical quality checkpoint between Sales, Operations, and Manufacturing.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Verify orders for accuracy before release to manufacturing, confirming measurements, product specifications, and installation requirements.
- Install windows in customer homes according to Pella Installation specifications, details and standards
- Cross-check details against contracts, quotes, and customer approvals to ensure orders match expectations.
- Identify discrepancies and work with Sales, Project Managers, and Customer Service to resolve issues quickly.
- Partner with Recovery Tech responsibilities: research variances, order replacement parts, schedule service calls, and coordinate with Service Managers when required.
- Ensure compliance with Pella standards and internal processes for documentation, approvals, and system entries.
- Maintain records and documentation of verification checks, recovery cases, corrections, and approvals.
- Support continuous improvement by flagging recurring issues, providing feedback to teams, and suggesting process changes to reduce errors.
- Partner with operations teams to ensure timely release of orders into production without delays caused by rework.
- Track recovery trends and recommend improvements to reduce future errors.
- Perform to the highest standard, complete jobs on time and leave a very clean, quality, finished product
WHAT YOU’LL BRING

- Ability to review technical documents, measurements, and order details with precision.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle a high volume of orders and recovery cases.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and talk or hear.
- The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
- Clear communication skills for coordinating across Sales, Operations, and Customer Service.
- Experience with order entry systems, CRMs, or ERP software (Salesforce or similar preferred).
