Summary: This position works to ensure shipping/receiving tasks, inventory management, and the loading and unloading of freight are all done safely, correctly, and in a timely manner. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Shipping & Receiving:

  • Receive, inspect, and document incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
  • Unload trucks and verify contents against purchase orders or packing slips.
  • Prepare, package, and label outgoing shipments in accordance with company and carrier standards.
  • Maintain shipping and receiving logs and records.
  • Communicate with vendors, suppliers, and internal departments regarding delivery issues or discrepancies.

Warehouse Operations:

  • Must be able and willing to drive and operate a box truck and lift gate.
  • Organize and maintain inventory in warehouse storage locations.
  • Perform regular cycle counts and assist in physical inventory.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely (training provided if necessary).
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with safety regulations.

Delivery:

  • Load and deliver products to customers or job sites in a safe and timely manner.
  • Obtain delivery confirmations and handle returns as necessary.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on company vehicles.
  • Represent the company professionally during all customer interactions.

Junior Technician:

  • Assist the senior technicians with in-shop and onsite set up and delivery of multifunction machines and safes.
  • Clean up job site, remove packaging materials, and ensure completed area is neat and ready for use.
  • Understand the basic functions of an MFP and be able to install toner and drums and take copy counts.(Training will be provided if necessary)

Furniture Installer:

  • Deliver, assemble, and install office, residential, or commercial furniture according to layout plans and manufacturer specifications.
  • Use hand and power tools to securely assemble desks, chairs, cabinets, workstations, partitions, and other furniture types.
  • Read and interpret installation instructions. 
  • Protect floors, walls, and surrounding areas during delivery and setup.
  • Follow all company and job site safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Load and unload furniture from delivery trucks safely and efficiently.
  • Organize and stage furniture parts and hardware at job sites for streamlined installation.
  • Keep tools, equipment, and vehicles clean, organized, and in working condition.
  • Troubleshoot installation problems such as misaligned parts, missing hardware, or product damage.
  • Make on-site adjustments or minor modifications as needed to complete the installation properly.
  • Clean up job site, remove packaging materials, and ensure completed area is neat and ready for use.
  • Complete installation checklists and submit required documentation.

    Work Environment:

    • Warehouse and delivery environments with varying temperatures.
    • Required to sit or stand for long periods 
    • Lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, up to 70-100 pounds occasionally 
    • Push / Pull 50 pounds frequently and up to 175 pounds occasionally 
    • Exposure to shop and equipment elements including noise, dust, odors, fumes, oils, and chemicals.
    • May require occasional overtime and weekend hours

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Current Drivers License with a clean driving record
    • Prior Experience a plus
    • Shipping / Receiving processes and practices
    • Safety procedures and practices in a warehouse environment
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Able to work independently and as a team
    • Utilize sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
    • Must be detail-oriented, with excellent administrative and organizational skills. 
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet established deadlines
    • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
    • Motivation and the ability to work independently with little or no supervision

    • Language Skills:   

      Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, invoices, SOP, and instructions; write routine reports and correspondence. Effectively present information in one-on-one situations and small group situations to customers or vendors, and other employees.

       

      Math Skills:    

      Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; compute rate, ratio, and percent and draw and interpret bar graphs.

       

      Reasoning Ability:   

      Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Identifies problems, gathers information, and offers solutions.

       

      Computer Skills

      Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is required. Proficiency with email is required.
