This position is responsible for the movement, storage, and management of materials and products within our distribution center or manufacturing facility. Key duties include loading and unloading goods, operating machinery like forklifts, maintaining inventory records, stocking shelves, packaging orders, and ensuring materials are delivered efficiently and safely to customers. The position will report to the Branch Manager.

Requirements
- Represent Mitchell Lewis & Staver in a friendly, professional manner always when communicating with customers
- Safely meet delivery schedules on designated routes
- Load and unload materials, moving stock, and organizing inventory within the facility
- Daily shipping and receiving including processing packing slips, stocking shelves, pulling parts for shipment, and preparing products for shipment
- Perform basic inquiries into the ERP system
- Operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery to move materials.
- Perform quality checks on materials and items to ensure they meet standards, monitor inventory and perform cycle counts
- Clean machinery and work areas, maintaining a clear dock and loading area, and adhering to safety guidelines
- Help Maintain fleet vehicles according to maintenance schedules including oil changes, cleaning, and general upkeep
- Maintain accurate delivery log
- Understand driving regulations of location
- Maintain a clean and safe driving record
- Performs other duties as required or assigned, which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this job classification
Experience Required:
- 2 to 3 years of experience driving a commercial vehicle flatbed truck preferred
- 2 to 3 years working in a distribution center, warehouse or manufacturing facility preferred
- Ability to operate a forklift

Education Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1 to 2 years of previous commercial driving experience
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for majority of shift
- Ability to move products or materials weighing up to 50 pounds, including lifting, placing, pushing, and pulling
- Valid driver’s license and have a driving record in good standing
Work Environment:
- Operate a delivery truck, including loading and unloading trucks outdoors: indoor work while talking to customers, making deliveries, pulling product, and staging for delivery
- Some of this position’s job duties are in a shop or warehouse-type environment
- This position may be exposed to loud noises from operating machinery, cold temperatures, chemicals and vapors, work involving manufactured parts, assembly, and heavy machinery
- Are often exposed to very hot or very cold temperatures when working outdoors
- This position is not eligible for telework
