About the Role:

The Janitorial Cleaner at Southern Specialties Inc. plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment within our facilities. This position ensures that all workspaces, including offices, restrooms, production areas, and common spaces, are thoroughly cleaned and well-maintained to support operational efficiency and employee well-being. The role requires attention to detail and adherence to health and safety standards to prevent contamination and promote a hygienic workplace. The Janitorial Cleaner will contribute to the overall success of the company by providing a welcoming and professional environment for both employees and visitors. This position is essential in supporting the company’s commitment to quality and sustainability.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in janitorial or cleaning services preferred but not required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and supplies and their safe usage.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing floors and surfaces throughout the facility.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas to maintain hygiene standards.
• Dispose of trash and recycling materials in accordance with company policies and environmental regulations.
• Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper in restrooms and other designated areas.
• Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages to the supervisor promptly.
• Follow all safety protocols and use cleaning chemicals and equipment properly to ensure a safe working environment.
• Assist with special cleaning projects or deep cleaning tasks as assigned by management.
