About the role
- The Investment Analyst or Associate will report to and work closely with the Asset-Based Finance Team within Kuvare Strategic Investments (KSI) to focus on executing new investment opportunities within both private and public asset-based finance. The role involves analyzing, underwriting, and monitoring performance of existing investments across a variety of esoteric asset classes. This role will offer broad exposure to complex private and public deals and direct interaction with issuers, originators, and key stakeholders across different business functions within Kuvare. The successful candidate will be analytical, organized, highly motivated, and have an entrepreneurial mindset and be willing to work efficiently and meet critical deadlines as part of a fast-paced environment.
What you'll do
- Assist senior deal team members underwrite and execute structured credit opportunities in both the private and public markets across various asset classes.
- Draft investment committee materials, including investment memorandums, presentations to senior management, as well as other key deliverables.
- Track performance and assist with administrative responsibilities for outstanding investments.
- Interact and coordinate with different business functions within Kuvare for various workstreams.
- Perform in-depth research across different markets/sectors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in finance, economics, engineering, math, or another quantitative field.
- 1-3 years of experience in structured finance, securitization, investment banking, valuation, or a similar field.
- Basic fixed income and/or securitization knowledge is required.
- Strong Excel skills are required, in addition to working knowledge of other Microsoft suite products (e.g. PowerPoint, Word).
- Basic working knowledge of Bloomberg is a plus but not required.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to synthesize complex deal dynamics into concise, actionable insights.
- Comfort with learning and assimilating new concepts and information quickly, identifying questions and being able to think critically.
- Strong results orientation and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic and genuine willingness and desire to learn.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, ability to multi-task and manage several projects at a time.
