Position Summary
The Restoration Technician is responsible for performing restoration and remediation services including water damage, fire/smoke cleanup, mold remediation, and other disaster recovery work. This role involves hands-on field work, operating specialized equipment, and ensuring all restoration projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform water extraction, structural drying, fire/smoke cleanup, and mold remediation.
 - Operate and maintain restoration equipment (air movers, dehumidifiers, HEPA vacuums, etc.).
 - Perform demolition and debris removal when necessary.
 - Document work performed through photos, moisture readings, and daily job logs.
 - Assist with content cleaning and pack-out/pack-back of customer belongings.
 - Follow all safety protocols and wear proper PPE at all times.
 - Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and customers.
 - Respond promptly to emergency service calls, including nights and weekends when on rotation.
 - Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in good working order.
 
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
 - Prior experience in restoration, construction, janitorial, or related field preferred.
 - Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
 - Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor for extended periods.
 - Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
 - Ability to work in various environmental conditions (heat, cold, confined spaces, etc.).
 - Strong work ethic, reliability, and professionalism.
 - Flexibility with work hours - schedules vary depending on project needs. Must be available for on-call rotation and emergency response when needed.
