Our Home is looking for a dedicated and experienced Shipping & Receiving Supervisor to lead our logistics team and ensure the seamless processing of all shipments. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising the shipping and receiving operations, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Your leadership will drive efficiency and accuracy in our shipping and receiving workflows, contributing to our commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the shipping and receiving activities of the warehouse team

• Perform lot checks to verify trailers in yard
• Daily first in first out checks to ensure proper rotation of materials
• Oversees finished goods inventory for Extrusion
• Process inbounds, outbounds and create builds for all areas in software program, currently NetSuite
• Schedule and oversee the inspection of incoming materials and outgoing shipments for accuracy and quality
• Handle recycling and organic waste pickups
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies throughout the Warehouse
• Prepare reports on shipping and receiving activities, identifying areas for improvement
• Train, mentor, and develop warehouse staff to enhance productivity and performance
• Collaborate with other departments to address and resolve shipment-related issues
• Implement and refine procedures to improve workflow efficiency and accuracy
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Requirements

• Strong leadership and team management abilities
• In-depth knowledge of shipping and receiving operations, including documentation and compliance
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and best practices
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to analyze data and implement improvements
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and warehouse management software
• Ability to obtain necessary certifications (e.g., forklift license) as needed

Work Environment/Physical Demands

• Required to use hands to handle, or feel; reach, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, taste, and smell
• Occasionally lift/move 50 lbs.
• Specific vision includes the following: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
