MEWP Operator                                                     
Reporting to: Field Manager
Full time: Monday to Friday, 45 hours a week between 7am-7pm. Saturdays required on a rota pattern, paid as overtime.
Salary: £30,100-£32,000 (DOE)

Job Purpose:
 
Reporting directly to the Field Manager, the MEWP Operator will be assisting with the overhead installations and service visits using Openreach PIA and Netomnia specific network. The MEWP Operator has a key role in installing right first time whilst maintaining an outstanding customer service for our customers, updating relevant systems in a timely manner throughout the day. This role would suit somebody looking for a route into telecoms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist installation and service engineers when they require MEWP assistance.
  • Manage the tools issued and the vehicle assigned to you as per our vehicle policy.
  • Complete assigned activities on time and manage day-to-day jobs.
  •  Running cables from the Netomnia CBT to the customer property to a high-quality standard whilst following H&S best practice.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Experience working in a similar role is desirable, but not essential
  • Ability to conduct risk assessment and hazard identification, with a strong emphasis on Health and Safety practices. 
  • Excellent organisational skills. 
  • Clear and concise communication abilities. 
  • Physical fitness for manual handling tasks. 
  • Ability to foster excellent working relationships within your team, with your manager, and with other teams within the company, with an excellent customer service attitude.
  • A proactive approach to improving efficiencies and working smarter.
Requirements
 
  • Must hold a full UK driving Licence for minimum 12 months.
  • SA001A and S8 (or equivalent)
  • IPAF 1b
  • NRSWA Unit 1
  • SMART AWARDS preferable
