Position Overview
The Interventional Technologist performs a variety of complex, specialized tasks using radiographic equipment to support interventional procedures. This role is essential to delivering high-quality, safe, and precise imaging services that support patient care and treatment. The technologist collaborates with radiologists, physicians, and the clinical team to ensure excellent outcomes while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform quality radiologic procedures using appropriate technical and safety methods.
  • Support interventional procedures by operating specialized imaging equipment with precision.
  • Promote professional practice through teaching, mentoring, and guidance to fellow team members and students.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and internal policies.
  • Manage resources such as supplies and equipment efficiently to support procedural needs.
  • Plan and complete work responsibilities in an efficient and productive manner.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and excellent customer service in all interactions with patients, staff, and providers.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Completion of a formal education program in radiography accredited by a mechanism acceptable to ARRT.
  • Minimum of 12 months’ experience as a diagnostic radiologic technologist.
  • Certification and registration as R.T. (R) ARRT.
  • State license in accordance with regulations for the state of practice.
  • BLS certification (new hires and current associates).
  • Preferred: ACLS certification.

Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to relate to and communicate effectively with patients, peers, and healthcare professionals.
  • Basic knowledge of radiology information systems (RIS, HIS, PACS preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to follow safety protocols and respond quickly in emergencies.
  • Ability to plan and manage workflow efficiently in a clinical setting.
  • Physical ability to meet job demands, including lifting up to 50 lbs., standing, walking, and performing repetitive motions.
