Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and confident Internal IT Manager to oversee all technology systems, infrastructure, and vendor relationships across the organization. This individual will serve as the bridge between DynaFire’s executive leadership and outsourced IT partners and vendors. The Internal IT Manager will ensure all technology solutions support DynaFire’s operational goals, cost efficiency, and long-term growth. This role requires a strong-minded leader who can question existing processes, drive improvements, and ensure vendors and systems continue to meet the company’s evolving needs.


Leadership & Strategy

  • Serve as the internal point of contact for all IT-related matters across the company.
  • Collaborate with the CEO, COO, and CFO to align IT strategy with organizational objectives.
  • Spearhead IT projects from concept to completion, including vendor evaluation, implementation, and review.
  • Analyze technology costs, develop business cases, and recommend cost-saving opportunities.
  • Identify, evaluate, and recommend new technologies to enhance operations.

Vendor and Resource Management

  • Manage relationships with external partners including Orlantech and Nuvo.
  • Assess vendor performance to ensure high-quality, cost-effective service.
  • Review vendor contracts and challenge pricing or processes to ensure alignment with DynaFire’s best interests.
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers for upgrades, renewals, and technical support.
  • Oversee IT procurement, asset tracking, and inventory control for company devices and systems.

Operations and Technical Oversight

  • Provide technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in person.
  • Ensure system alerts, performance issues, and user requests are addressed by external IT vendors in a timely and effective manner through the ticketing system.
  • Ensure installation, maintenance, and upgrades of software, hardware, and network systems are performed by external IT vendors in alignment with DynaFire standards and operational needs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, SOPs, and support procedures.
  • Ensure company servers, networks, and security systems are properly monitored and maintained by external IT vendors in accordance with company requirements.
  • Ensure regular data backups, system restores, and disaster recovery testing are performed by external IT vendors and verified for accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure company-owned technology assets—including computers, laptops, phones, iPads, and related hardware—are properly tracked, maintained, and supported by external IT vendors.
  • Ensure technology needs for new hires, terminations, and departmental transfers are handled by external IT vendors according to DynaFire’s onboarding and offboarding procedures.

Cybersecurity and Compliance

  • Ensure all security updates, antivirus tools, and endpoint protection solutions are implemented and monitored by external IT vendors.
  • Ensure vulnerability scans, network traffic monitoring, and security incident responses are conducted by external IT vendors in compliance with company and industry standards.
  • Lead employee cybersecurity awareness training initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all data protection, privacy, and regulatory standards.
  • Ensure business continuity and disaster recovery plans are maintained, tested, and updated regularly by external IT vendors and verified for readiness.

User Support and Communication

  • Provide IT onboarding and access setup for new employees in coordination with external IT vendors.
  • Ensure user accounts, permissions, and credentials are created, updated, and deactivated by external IT vendors according to DynaFire access control policies.
  • Ensure internal systems and applications are properly configured, supported, and maintained by external IT vendors to meet business needs.
  • Serve as a resource to staff, promoting technology best practices and coordinating vendor-supported solutions.
  • Develop and maintain an internal IT knowledge base for staff reference.

Strategic and Administrative Duties

  • Develop and manage annual IT budgets and forecasts.
  • Prepare and deliver regular technology and cost reports to executive leadership.
  • Research emerging technologies to support operational improvement and company growth.
  • Ensure company-wide compliance with cybersecurity, data protection, and operational standards.
  • Support leadership in strategic planning and future technology initiatives.

Requirements

Training and Certification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field required (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum 7–10 years of progressive IT experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience managing outsourced IT vendors and technical service contracts.
  • Strong understanding of networking, infrastructure, and cybersecurity principles.
  • Skilled in evaluating systems, implementing process improvements, and managing budgets.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead effectively in both strategic and hands-on capacities.
