 About Us

 The Department of Customer Service (DCS) is a service provider and regulator, focusing on delivering first-class customer service, digital transformation, and regulatory reform to create better outcomes for the people of NSW.

 This is an exciting opportunity to work in the DCS Cyber & Information Security Office (CISO) working closely with DCS agencies to uplift and improve cyber security ensuring DCS digital services are safe and secure.

 About the role

 The Security Programs team are tasked with leading the delivery of the DCS Cyber Security Strategy to reduce the likelihood and consequences of a cyber attack on the department by fortifying defences, safeguarding sensitive data, and protecting government services that are delivered by government divisions and agencies within DCS.

 We are looking to recruit a Security Business Analyst to join the Security Programs Team.  This role will support multiple project teams by identifying and documenting end to end cyber security processes, systems and other functional. Conducting analysis and dissemination of cyber security technical information and business rules across teams, and facilitating discussions and agreements between agencies and subject matter experts to enable informed cyber security business decisions and service improvements.

 Responsibilities include:

  •  Providing process advice on the feasibility and suitability of proposed solutions to optimise cyber security operations and risk management compliance.
  •  Stakeholder and relationship management working across multiple agencies and teams to identify cyber security requirements, develop user stories and case scenarios.
  •  Facilitating workshops to research, understand and obtain knowledge on the challenges and issues involved with cyber security compliance, privacy and information security.
  •  Identifying and documenting cyber security processes, roles and responsibilities to define cyber security requirements.
  •  Coordinating technical communications and testing of improved of cyber security processes and systems.
  •  Tracking and driving cyber security process improvements to deliver on desired outcomes.
  •  Providing accurate reporting on cyber security processes for a range of senior stakeholders.

 About you

  •  Experience in cyber security, information or communication technical project delivery.
  •  Proven experience in identification, planning and process delivery for business and operational improvements.
  •  Proven experience in developing process maps, technical designs and business process models.
  •  Experience in consulting and negotiating with diverse stakeholders with varying expectations, viewpoints and interests within agreed timeframes.
  •  Experience managing interdependencies and competing demands to ensure process improvements are achieved.
  •  Experience working in multi-disciplinary project teams.
  •  Good communication skills both written and verbal.
  •  Have a ‘can-do’ attitude.

Salary Grade 9/10, with the base salary for this role starting at $129,464 base plus superannuation
