Position Responsibilities 

• Patrols assigned buildings and grounds to observe individuals or conditions that could compromise the Medical Center’s security and safety.
• Responds to alarms and dispatched calls, assessing the situation and deciding on the appropriate course of action based on known facts and authority limits.
• Monitors and controls the entry and exit of employees, visitors, and others to prevent theft and unauthorized access.
• Identifies, gathers, and photographs physical evidence related to investigations, following supervisor guidance and documentation procedures.
• Warns individuals about rule violations and, if necessary, detains or removes offenders from the premises, using force when required.

Qualifications 

• High school diploma required
• Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s license with no more than 4 points
• 5+ Years of previous security experience prior experience in law enforcement / military preferred
