The Opportunity
As an Operational Specialist within the EMEA Sales Excellence team, you will play a pivotal role in bridging strategy and execution. You will drive agile ways of working, support operational rhythm, and optimize processes that enable seamless collaboration and learning across the region. This role is central to our digital transformation, leveraging best practices in learning, overseeing LMS administration and analytics, and ensuring effective learning experiences for all EMEA team members. You will also act as a key point of contact for cross-functional and global collaboration, ensuring alignment with both EMEA and global Sales Excellence initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Process Optimization
Develop and edit high-quality learning content, ensuring alignment with instructional design and compliance standards.
Document processes and update SharePoint/MS Teams folders for transparency and continuous improvement.
Optimize learning strategies with interactive, mobile-friendly, and multimedia-enhanced approaches.
Design, implement, and maintain innovative and scalable processes to optimize our learning programs that support business objectives and employee growth.
Evaluate and apply learning technologies, industry trends, and best practices to improve training effectiveness.
Ensure accessibility and inclusivity in learning experiences.
Digital Learning & LMS Administration Support
Become the back-up for and support LMS administration: maintaining learning offerings, uploading content, managing user access, and liaising with global LMS teams for updates and troubleshooting.
Support the delivery of digital learning solutions, including e-learning modules, instructional videos, quizzes, and interactive tools.
Support the administration, configuration, and maintenance of the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring accessibility, inclusivity, and seamless user experience.
Track and analyze learning data, engagement metrics, and training effectiveness, providing actionable insights to leadership.
Generate reports and dashboards to evaluate learner progress and inform future training strategies.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Coaching
Lead the communication of educational offerings and learning pathways in cooperation with EMEA Marketing, Cochlear website, and Marketing Automations design teams.
Work closely with department leaders, business units, and global Sales Excellence teams to identify learning needs and design tailored solutions.
Coach regional stakeholders in effective use of learning platforms and tools, driving adoption and continuous improvement.
Partner with external vendors, consultants, and industry experts to enhance the learning offering.
Facilitate training sessions and workshops to onboard employees and support learning adoption.
Serve as a learning ambassador, promoting a culture of continuous learning across the organization.
Operational Support & Event Management
Own all aspects of event, course, and program coordination and management within the EMEA region, including venue, agenda, logistics, and compliance.
Advise internal stakeholders about compliance queries related to education programs and events.
Support budget planning and administrative processes, including P.O. requests and cross-charges.
Manage the team’s digital tools/platforms (e.g., MS Teams, Planner, SharePoint) to support productivity and team workflows
Define and manage event budgets, ensuring financial transparency and cost efficiency.
Quality & Continuous Improvement
Drive relevant quality procedures and support documentation for audit purposes.
Lead and contribute ideas for process and system improvements.
Work safely, complying with all safety procedures, rules, and instructions
About You. As we grow our operations, we are looking for people who share our passion for delivering quality hearing solutions to our customers. To add value to Cochlear in this role, you'll be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
Minimum:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Education, Health sciences or related studies
Excellent working knowledge of English language (oral and in writing) and at least one other EMEA language.
Exceptional organizational skills
Excellent time management and strong attention to detail
Service oriented – ‘eye for customer service’
Excellent working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, Planner, SharePoint
Very good team working skills
Interest to work with task driven/ ticket-based processes
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging multi-cultural teams.
Agile and adaptable mindset, able to manage deadlines in fast-paced environments.
Experience managing digital collaboration tools (MS Teams, Planner, SharePoint, LMS).
Ability to work with cross-functional and multicultural teams, and to manage both virtual and in-person events.
Strong skills in process documentation and proactive communication.
Ideal:
Additional languages to English and 1 EMEA language is welcome
Experience in another learning/ education role with another company
1-3 years or experience in an international team/environment
Experience working with learning management systems and/or procurement of such systems in a corporate setting
Knowledge and experience with reporting tools/dashboards to support audits
Experience in healthcare, life sciences, or the medical device industry.
Familiarity with event management software (e.g. Cvent).
Background in risk management and compliance.
Strong negotiation and stakeholder engagement abilities.
