General Statement of Duties and Responsibilities
To perform highly responsible work in the operation of motor vehicles, and equipment below:
Examples of Typical Tasks and Responsibilities
1. The completion of motor vehicle assignments.
2. Must participate in work assignments of crews assigned to his/her vehicle including activities such as, collection of refuse, manure detail, and other jobs where motor vehicle are used.
3. All tools, supplies, materials, and equipment carried in an assigned vehicle.
4. Clean and fulfill checks required by supervisor for vehicle and equipment maintenance.
5. Grease vehicles and equipment and supply oil, gasoline, and other additives as required by supervisor.
6. Will prepare trip reports and daily assignments as required.
7. Report accidents promptly.
8. Must not be afraid of heights when using genie boom.
9. Perform related tasks as required.
10. Enforce the Society’s visitor’s rules and regulations, as well those of the Department of Parks of the City of New York.

Qualification Requirements
Qualification Requirements
1. High School graduate.
2. Current New York State commercial driver’s license for gross vehicles (weights over 18,000 lbs.).
3. Must be able to pass physical and road test with clutch.
4. Knowledge of front loader, backhoe, and bulldozer.
