The opportunity:

We have an opportunity available for a Senior Specialist Brand Marketing – Sponsorships, Events and Ambassadors to join our team in Melbourne. Reporting to the Senior Manager Brand Marketing you will support the AIA brand, event, sponsorship and ambassador programs, delivering high quality, strategic and well planned events, campaigns and ambassador management.

Within this role you will manage end to end event and sponsorship campaigns including project management, event planning, and logistical management and ensuring event campaigns amplify brand in market via social channels and PR opportunities. Additionally, the role manages a panel of ambassadors for brand and enterprise leverage.

To do this successfully you will:

• Project manage allocated events, sponsorships and ambassador activities
• Identify meaningful opportunities to ensure maximum value is extracted across the event, sponsorship and ambassador program
• Lead end-to-end event and sponsorship campaign planning and management
• Ensure an integrated marketing lens is applied to the leverage and delivery of the program, including integration of PR and content strategies
• Successfully manage event budgets, including third party managed budgets
• Act as an on-site AIA representative for all allocated events and ambassador activities
• Manage branded asset and apparel registers including stock takes, postage/couriers, returns and loans to other business units
• Perform other responsibilities and duties periodically which may be assigned by the Senior Manager, Events and Sponsorships to meet reasonable operational and/or other requirements

Successful applications will demonstrate:

• Extensive experience in event and sponsorship or brand marketing, preferably with exposure to insurance, financial services or other related industries
• Proven success in delivering events and activations with objectives in awareness and engagement among target audiences
• Proven experience in large, complex format event development, planning, and execution
• Experience in event proposal and partnership development
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to build rapport with stakeholders at all levels (both internally and externally)
• A strong work ethic with a high level of personal accountability
