The Opportunity

Cochlear has an opportunity for a Process Engineering Supervisor – Tooling Team ​, based at our Macquarie, Sydney office. In this role, the successful Supervisor will lead the tooling team to ensure that all project and manufacturing tooling requests are met according to agreed timelines. This position requires the Supervisor to maintain clear visibility of task statuses for customers, manage any necessary escalations, and apply broad technical knowledge to effectively coordinate and guide the team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate and lead the team to achieve daily operational goals and meet KPIs.
  • Coordinate team day-to-day activities to ensure deliverables are achieved on time.
  • Ensure adherence to Cochlear’s Quality Management System (QMS) and HEAR Behaviours.
  • Demonstrate active involvement in the implementation and improvement of quality procedures.
  • Communicate frequently with stakeholders outside the immediate job area, building new relationships where required.
  • Attract, develop, and retain top talent by setting clear expectations, providing feedback, and coaching for growth.
  • Ensure due diligence and commitment to workplace health and safety, including active involvement in WHS initiatives and adherence to local legislative requirements.

About You

Required Skills

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with specialist knowledge in the technical area and at least 5 years of experience in people leadership.
  • Ability to collaborate with stakeholders across departments and participate in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently on multiple tasks under time constraints.

Desired Skills

  • AutoCAD, CAD, CREO or tooling experience.
