- Contribute to a wide range of engineering and planning services, including crash analyses, program management, and conceptual design reviews.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to shape safer, more inclusive transportation networks.
- Be part of a forward-thinking agency committed to innovation, sustainability, and equity in transportation.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) providing guidance on State, county, and municipal projects.
- Conduct crash analyses and develop data-driven safety recommendations.
- Support and manage safety-focused programs and initiatives.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement and coordination.
- Develop safety targets, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and summary reports.
- Contribute to Strategic Highway Safety Plan (SHSP) activities and implementation.
- Review Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) assessments and performance plans.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 3–5 years of traffic engineering design experience.
- Preferred certifications: PE (Professional Engineer), AICP (Certified Planner), RSP (Road Safety Professional).
- Strong knowledge of safety and design standards including:
- NJ SHSP
- Highway Safety Manual (HSM)
- HSIP
- Complete Streets
- ADA Compliance
- Safe System Approach
- AASHTO, MUTCD, NACTO, NJDOT Design Manual
Additional Information
TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $80,000 - $115,000 annually for this position and local market. We recognize that each candidate brings a unique set of skills, experience, education and competencies to the table that will be reflected in our offer.
