Interns may be eligible for a one-time hiring bonus to assist with housing costs depending upon proximity to an AmFam office location.
Compensation Minimum: $25.00
Compensation Maximum: $39.00
As an Endpoint Engineering intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in scripting with PowerShell to automate and streamline IT processes. Interns will gain exposure to Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) management and assist with vulnerability remediation efforts to enhance system security. The role provides a unique opportunity to develop technical skills while supporting critical infrastructure and cybersecurity initiatives.
Responsibilities
• Develop an understanding of our business, corporate culture and structure to support your work.
• Contribute creative ideas and strategic approaches in response to changing situations.
• Mitigate endpoint vulnerabilities by identifying patterns that might cause vulnerabilities on multiple machines and scripting the fix. Utilize Patch my PC to update applications.
• Maintain a healthy VDI environment by updating VDI endpoints’ Citrix VDA, Citrix Workspace and patching non-persistent VDI’s on a schedule.
• Monitor VDI inventory in Citrix studio.
Requirements
• Must be in student status at an accredited 4-year college or university during the internship, graduating August 2026 or later.
• Must be pursuing a Bachelors, Masters, or PhD.
• Major/program must align with internship role.
• Operating system based scripting or Windows automation scripting - PowerShell preferred
• VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) administration experience
• Vulnerability remediation - Intune Autopatch and Patch my PC knowledge preferred

This role is a Full-Time in Office work arrangement. Work locations for this role include Madison, WI; Boston, MA.
