Job title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Infusion & Wound Center
Schedules Available: Full-time, 80 hours per pay period; Monday - Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm
Weekend rotation: No weekends
Holiday rotation: No holidays
Position Summary:
The Registered Nurse - Infusion & Wound Center position assists with day-to-day nursing activities. This is an important role that requires accuracy, attention to detail, and a passion for providing exceptional healthcare.
Position Responsibilities:
- Address patient-related needs before, during, and after care; make sure their needs have been met in a timely, efficient, and caring manner.
- Participate in decision-making, implementation, and evaluation of interventions for best patient outcomes.
- Perform assessment of patients.
- Medication administration.
- Communicate patient needs with providers in various locations.
- Clean and stock rooms.
- Chart prep and paperwork.
- Obtain lab specimens and assess results.
- Start IVs, change catheters, perform wound care, CVAD care, etc.
- Attend daily huddles and monthly meetings.
- Accurately document care provided.
- Perform other duties as requested.
Position Requirements:
- Two-year degree in nursing required. Four-year degree preferred.
- Must hold and maintain Wisconsin Registered Nursing license. RNs with an active Compact Licensure are to obtain a Wisconsin RN license within 90 days of start date.
- BLS certification required or obtained within 1 month of hire.
- ACLS required or obtained within 1 year of hire.
- Chemotherapy and Wound Care certifications required or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
- 1+ years of related work experience required.
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Intermediate proficiency with computers is required.
- Comprehensive nursing skills and knowledge of equipment such as bladder scanner, vein finder, etc.
- Thorough understanding of triage.
- Understanding of lab procedures and equipment.
- Strong quantitative and analytical competency.
- Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.
