As an important member of our talented Cardiovascular (CV) Ultrasound R&D team, the Project Manager-Ultrasound Acoustics is a project champion, responsible for driving and coordinating Clinical and Acoustic activities in support of New Product Development and Launch activities.
Your role:
- Coordinating, budgeting, and scheduling New Product Development/Launch project activities and actively leads/participates in periodic project meetings, design reviews, and preparing/communicating project overviews and status reports to program management.
- Collaborates with Marketing and Product Management organizations to define new feature requirements to meet specific clinical applications and market needs.
- Will work with the Project Core Team, Acoustics, Clinical, and Product Marketing/Management functions to assure project objectives are defined appropriately and to develop, and assure compliance to project goals, including project schedule milestones, project budget, product cost targets, and product quality and reliability measures. Lead the proactive identification and mitigation of project risks
- Assures project teams follow Quality System and Business Management System processes and track all issues and action items to closure.
- Facilitate the recognition of project risks, define corrective actions and track project issues and action items to closure.
You're the right fit if:
- You have a minimum of 3+ years’ experience in Project management within FDA regulated medical device environments, experienced in E2E cross-functional, multi-site Project Management including KPI’s, budgeting, timelines, resource allocation, project strategy, reporting, communication, change/risk management, etc.
- You have experience in Ultrasound imaging/Acoustics and clinical environments (desired).
- You have proven experience in conflict management, timely decision making, strong listening/influencing skills and ability to mitigate project challenges (i.e. continuous flow of disrupting events, setbacks, and conflicts of priority).
- You’re able to effectively communicate project status, in a clear manner, to business leadership regarding schedules, risks, budget and resources
- You have a minimum of a Minimum of a Bachelors’ Degree (BS) in Engineering- Mechanical/Electrical/Biomedical or similar discipline, MS desired. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, preferred.
- You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
How we work together:
We believe that we are better together than a part. For our Office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations. This is an Office role.

Philips Transparency Details:
- The pay range for this position in Cambridge, MA is $110,880 to $177,408
The actual pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the hourly range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.
In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.
