This role will play a crucial as part of the Chief Transformation Office working on UNITE.UNITE is our business-led, tech-enabled transformation, and a key priority for the Group. Create your best future and join Westpac on a 12-Month Fixed Term Contract as a Senior Technical Analyst within our Chief Transformation Office, you’ll help deliver innovative solutions that enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document requirements.
  • Break down large, ambiguous problems into smaller, well-defined tasks or use cases.
  • Create process flows, user stories, functional specifications, and other artifacts.
  • Translate business needs into logical, structured, and actionable requirements.
  • Work closely with developers, testers, and UX/UI teams to ensure accurate implementation.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and brainstorming sessions to uncover root causes.
  • Perform gap analysis, impact assessments, and data analysis as needed.
  • Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) by preparing test cases and validating deliverables.
  • Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle.

What do I need?

  • Hands on experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role.
  • Strong logical thinking and analytical skills — able to approach problems methodically.
  • Excellent communication skills — able to explain complex ideas simply.
  • Experience in writing clear, structured documentation (e.g., user stories, use cases, BRDs).
  • Comfortable with process mapping tools (e.g., Gliffy, Visio).
  • Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
