Additional Information: Show/Hide Auxiliary Compensation Plan Salary Range: $16.00 /hour Shift Type: Full-Time Wage/Hour Status: Non-Exempt Reports To: Principal EMPLOYMENT BEGINS: As soon as possible PRIMARY PURPOSE:
To supervise students at lunchtime to insure a positive safe environment for children to eat.
QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Certification:
High School Diploma/GED
Texas Educational Aide Certificate
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
Ability to work well with children
Ability to communicate effectively
EXPERIENCE:
None
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Maintain a harmonious atmosphere by encouraging peaceful
resolution of conflicts.
Direct movement of groups to and from lunchroom and classroom in a safe and organized manner.
Organizes group games and activities for outside play when weather
permits.
Organizes students in lunchroom clean-up.
Patrol for signs of choking in students.
Enforce established rules of order for the lunchroom.
Keep teachers informed of special needs or problems of individual students.
Perform other duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Mental Demands:
Reading and comprehending simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Writing simple correspondence and effectively presenting information in one-on-one and small group situations to staff.
Maintaining emotional control under stress.
Physical demands/environmental factors:
Occasional exposure to outside weather conditions.
Standing, walking, talking, and hearing.
Stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
Moderate to loud noise level in work environment.
