What you will do:

The Associate Manager, Flag Football Partnerships will be responsible for leading our key flag football partnerships at every level of organized participation and will have a variety of responsibilities ranging from managing and amplifying current relationships to developing new strategic partnerships to support Franklin’s exponential growth in the sport and our flag-specific product offerings. The role will also play an integral part in the continuance of aligning the brand & fulfillment services as THE strategic flag equipment partner of choice. 

 

This role’s main priority will be the management, optimization, and growth of existing flag football brand partnership agreements. This includes servicing NFL Flag-specific programs while also helping establish new relationships with collegiate, high school and National Governing Bodies in the sport. This position will be the main liaison internally with the product, sales, marketing, digital marketing, e-commerce, social media, and international teams to implement a cohesive brand strategy both domestically and globally.

 

The ideal candidate should have knowledge and experience of operating, playing or working in flag football. Familiarity with working alongside sales and marketing teams is a must, while a proven history of involvement of negotiating successful partnerships is preferred. This role will require travelling to company-sponsored events, business meetings, industry conferences and tradeshows. The individual will need to have the ability to juggle several priorities and relationships at once while always representing the Franklin brand with professionalism and class.

 

The position is located at our Headquarters in Stoughton, MA with a hybrid office option and will report to the Head of Brand Partnerships.

IN MORE DETAIL, YOU WILL:

  • Manage Key Partnership programs within the Flag Football landscape and other categories as assigned. 
  • Develop and support vision for key brand partnerships and the sports marketing team in all aspects of strategic business development: product programming (youth à high school à collegiate à Olympic à professional and recreational), marketing assets, event activation, branding, and category narrative.
  • Work with internal leadership (sales, product, marketing, partnerships, PR, finance) to create, implement and own the execution of long-term key account strategies, sustainability, and growth.
  • Manage multiple key accounts’ day-to-day business, participation, and fan development initiatives.
  • Support Head of Partnerships and VP, Marketing in flag football-related RFP processes, networking events, event execution, and industry meetings on behalf of the brand. 
  • Lead the management of relevant Flag Football category budgets. 
  • Spearhead communications and industry knowledge with the decision makers at leagues, teams, national governing bodies and brands as needed. 
  • Present quarterly partnership updates / sports-marketing briefs to president and sr. leadership.
  • Participate in and contribute to sales meetings as requested. 
  • Travel to select relevant events, tournaments, tradeshows, venues, meetings (business development/sales) via car, plane or train 
  • Other projects as assigned.

 

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • 3-5+ years of sports marketing experience.
  • Relevant experience with a sporting goods and/or apparel/footwear brand.
  • League, NGB, team, brand, agency experience preferred. 

 

WHAT YOU HAVE DONE/ESSENTIAL TO THE ROLE:

  • Excellent presentation/public speaking ability. 
  • Highly organized, motivated and task oriented.
  • Advanced computer user skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to work well under pressure and able to work cross functionally with all levels in-and outside of the organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% via train, car and plane.

  • Ability to work well under pressure and able to work cross functionally with all levels in the organization.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% via car, plane and train including overnight.  
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing.

 

LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY:

Interact independently with internal and external parties, has the knowledge to make independent decisions.

This position does not supervise employees.
