Campers Inn RV is looking for a Payroll Specialist. This role, located onsite in Jacksonville FL, is responsible for maintaining the integrity of payroll to ensure all employees are paid correctly and in a timely manner as well as performs Human Resource duties as assigned.

Essential Job Functions

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time. 

  • Takes ownership of payroll operations.  
  • Process multiple bi-weekly payroll accurately using ADP Workforce Now  
  • Process new hires, employee changes, terminations and benefit administration in ADP   
  • Ensure compliance and adhere to company policies relating to processing of wages and paid time off  
  • Provide service to all employees regarding payroll concerns, research and troubleshoot inquires  
  • Complete any payroll and benefit related mailings, e.g. child support, garnishments   
  • Maintain processes and audit trails for all payroll transactions, I-9, garnishments, etc.   
  • Payroll filing as needed  
  • Tasks as assigned  

Qualifications

  • Education: 
    1. High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • Experience:
    1. At least two years’ of Human Resource or Payroll experience is required
  • Abilities:              
    1. Highly organized and efficient in how they manage their time, organize their workspace, and balance their task list and conflicting priorities  
    2. Attention to detail and the ability to enter data with consistent accuracy  
    3. Able to adapt and remain positive during changes to processes and working conditions  
    4. Strong, professional communication skills in listening, speaking, and writing necessary for communication with staff, service providers and coworkers over the phone, in person, and via e-mail  
    5. Happy to work as a part of a team or independently, willing to communicate needs in a constructive manner as well as provide support to coworkers when needed  
    6. Sound judgement and the ability to make reasonable decisions in the absence of direction  
    7. Receptive to coaching from management, responds positively with willingness to make changes when desired
    8. Knowledge or ability to learn company system applications, such as Systems2K and other applicable software
    9. Ability to bend or sit for long periods of time
    10. Ability to continuously engage in visual activities, such as use of computer, files, and reports
