In this role, you'll:
Have proven experience in operating a range of Medium Rigid Vehicles and responding promptly to unplanned incidents at designated locations, with a focus on restoring normal road operations as quickly and efficiently as possible.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for but not limited to:
• Competently operate Light and Medium Rigid vehicles (with a GVM of greater than 4.5 tonnes)
• Tow any trailers that their vehicle is rated to tow.
• Solving routine problems that arise, referring to standard guidelines and manuals, and collaborate with supervisors and managers to resolve complex problems to ensure risks are minimised and work goals are achieved
• Be prepared to work on a 24/7 rotating roster and away from home if required.

About you
We are looking for an experienced Medium Rigid Truck operator keen to take on new responsibility as a Truck Mounted Attenuator (TMA) driver.
You are safety conscious, self-motivated with strong work ethic and integrity, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where you can showcase your initiative while working autonomously.
Essential criteria
• An Industry White Card
• You currently hold a Medium Rigid Vehicle License and hold Traffic Controller Card
• You are willing to undertake any legislated or internal licensing, training or ticketing requirements as directed
• You must be available and willing to work on a 24-hour rotating roster including shift work, late nights, early mornings, weekends and public holidays. Extended hours may also be necessary at short notice
Experience with loading / unloading with back of Truck Mounted crane is ideal but not essential
Whilst not required, experience in operating plant (excavator, bobcat, padfoot/smooth drum roller) is advantageous.
