South Denver OBGYN in Littleton, Colorado is looking for Part-Time Nurse Practitioner to join the team.  This position would be 2-3 days per week.

About the Role:

The Nurse Practitioner - OBGYN plays a critical role in delivering comprehensive healthcare services to women across all stages of life, focusing on obstetrics and gynecology. This position will have a have focus in obstetrics. 

This position involves providing high-quality patient care through assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of a wide range of women's health issues. The role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure holistic and coordinated care. The Nurse Practitioner will also engage in patient education, counseling, and preventive care to promote overall reproductive health and well-being. Ultimately, this position aims to improve patient outcomes by combining clinical expertise with compassionate care in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current and valid Nurse Practitioner license in Colorado
  • Current DEA Registration
  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing with a specialization in Women’s Health or OBGYN.
  • Certification as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP-BC) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC) with OBGYN experience.
  • Demonstrated experience providing direct patient care in obstetrics and gynecology settings.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working within a multidisciplinary healthcare team in a hospital or clinic setting.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and healthcare documentation software.
  • Advanced training in minimally invasive gynecological procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough patient histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests related to obstetrics and gynecology.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including prescribing medications and therapies as appropriate.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and optimize health outcomes.
  • Provide prenatal, antenatal, and postnatal care, including monitoring fetal development and managing pregnancy-related complications.
  • Educate patients on reproductive health, family planning, disease prevention, and wellness strategies.
  • Perform routine gynecological procedures such as Pap smears, pelvic exams, and contraceptive device insertions.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay current with advances in women's health and OBGYN practices.

The required skills of quality patient care and working as part of a multidisciplinary team are essential for daily success in this role. Quality patient care involves applying clinical knowledge and critical thinking to assess and manage complex women's health issues effectively and compassionately. Working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals ensures comprehensive care plans that address all aspects of patient health. Preferred skills such as proficiency with electronic health records enhance communication and documentation accuracy, facilitating seamless care coordination. Additionally, strong interpersonal and educational skills enable the Nurse Practitioner to empower patients through informed decision-making and health promotion.

Salary: $65,000 - $100,000 (this position would be part-time)
