Join our collaborative Special Education Services Department in this challenging and rewarding short-term/extra help position. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about helping our community's special needs students reach their Speech and Language goals by using the best evidence based practices. You'll get to work with teachers and service providers who are top in their fields and expand your skills in a growing industry.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE A combination of training and experience, which would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities, may be qualifying. We reserve the right to determine if a candidate meets the qualifications. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: • Associate degree or higher from a speech-language pathology assistant program. • Must possess valid registration as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant with the California Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board. • One (1) year of experience as a speech aide or assistant is preferred.

Step 1 ($33.13) - Step 11 ($43.14) per hour for initial placement, depending on experience.

These requirements must be met prior to beginning employment and will be requested upon job offer acceptance. • Fingerprint and Background clearance (paid by employer) • Post Offer, Pre-Employment Physical (paid by employer) • Valid Tuberculosis clearance (employer will provide if not in possession) • Current CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain).
