S³, Inc. has an opening for a Vice President of Agile Engineering Division (AED) to join our executive team at our HQ in Research Park, Huntsville, AL.
Description:
The VP of AED reports to the President/CEO and is responsible for strategic-level leadership, management, and vision for operational controls, administrative and reporting requirements, P/L, compliance, growth, and operating efficiency. and provides DoD division technical, professional, and analytical support services. The VP is responsible for developing and materializing a 10% annual growth business plan that supports Government contract and Task Order requirements to design, validate, and execute technical service program activities. The technical areas include: Systems Division Engineering; Requirements Generation; Modeling, Space, Aviation for Missiles, Simulation and Experimentation; Life Cycle Management and Knowledge Management. The VP's 3-year initiative is to move the business unit toward research and development contracts (NAICS 541715) and build a team capable of contract wins in the domain.
Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple IDIQ/BPA and Task Order prime contracts, outstanding CPARS, and seasoned customer relationships.
- Develop for pipeline and, major capture actions to support annual revenue growth and EBIDTA. Manage contract execution, customer reviews, recruitment of key growth initiatives, budget projections and compliance, and employee leadership in corporate quality goals, ethics, and culture.
- Plan, allocate, control, review, and resource personnel requirements for all programs in the business unit with 97% CDRL schedule compliance.
- Review and approve BU performance requirements within company policies and ISO requirements with no customer complaints.
- Manage a team of 200 employees, and 20 subcontractors, in support of customer requirements per contract specifications.
- In conjunction with a Division business capture team, generate and function as capture manager on RFP responses that win 100% of business re-competes and 25% of new business bids.
- Proactively develop pipeline business for 20% annual growth, with diversification into new customer base opportunities; achieve at least 20% annual growth.
- Develop and execute a strategy to diversify the customer base and function as a corporate citizen, adopting corporate missions, culture, and goals.
- Maintain a revenue mix that is 60% prime, 40% subcontractor.
- Identify and capture a new IDIQ/BPA annually.
- Manage P/L to materialize revenue and profit targets for the sector.
Recruit 2 Triple-Threat performers annually with direct coverage within six months.
Qualifications:
- 25 years of experience, inclusive of 10 years PM experience managing aviation, missile, or space technical service portfolios; five years managing 500+ employees; 5 years corporate experience in a directorship or Vice President technical leadership position. Military experience is a plus.
- BS or MS. required; Ph.D preferred.
- Experience managing at least 12-20 subcontractors, in support of customer requirements per contract specifications.
- Demonstrated strength with aviation, missile, and space services programs, CONUS/OCONUS, and US/FMS experience is desired.
- Must be flexible for travel to remote field site reviews, proposal support, corporate meetings, and reviews, and business development.
- Demonstrated staff, program, and business development experience.
- Knowlege and experience with Huntsville, AL, aviation, missiles, and space customers required.
Experience with MDA (Misile Defense Agency) is a plus.
