Job Summary
Create Music Group is seeking a Manager, FP&A & Strategic Finance to partner closely with senior leadership and drive financial and strategic decision-making. Reporting to the Sr. Director of FP&A, this role offers high executive visibility and impact in a fast-growing, data-driven music and technology company empowering artists and labels. The ideal candidate brings both structure and innovation as the business continues to evolve. Experience in high-growth or scaling companies is a plus, as is an interest in the music, media, or creator economy.
Responsibilities
- Drive core FP&A processes including AOP, LRP, budgeting, forecasting, close, variance analysis, and management reporting
- Advise leaders on opportunities, risks, and performance v strategic plans (SOP)
- Provide financial guidance to labels, A&R, and M&A teams, ensuring data-driven decision-making across creative development and strategic deals
- Distill complex analysis into clear, compelling narratives for both financial and non-financial audiences
- Prepare reporting packages for executives, board, and investors
- Own and enhance FP&A tools (Planful) and drive automation (including AI-enabled workflows) to scale forecasting and reporting
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 4-7 years of experience with at least 2 years in investment banking, consulting or PE
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or related field; accounting background a plus
- Advanced financial modeling skills, including 3-statement analysis and investor reporting in Excel/Google Sheets/Slides
- Proficiency with FP&A/accounting tools (ERP, planning, data); current stack includes Planful, NetSuite, and Looker
- Strong first-principles thinking, with the ability to reimagine solutions from the ground up
- Strategic foresight to anticipate future questions and challenges and act proactively
- Sound judgment in prioritization and risk management, balancing rigor for high-impact issues with speed for lower-stakes decisions
- Comfort with ambiguity and an 80/20 approach to balance precision with execution speed
Pay Scale
- $120,000 - $145,000 per year
- The final compensation within this range will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and overall fit for the role.
