This position specializes in developing, implementing, and measuring member activation efforts sponsored by Missionary Department leadership, particularly related to seasonal initiatives (Light the World, Giving Machine initiative, and Easter). The incumbent will frequently work with other church departments, area leaders, vendors, and volunteers to fulfill their responsibility. The incumbent will also work with a product manager to create processes, assets, and manage a budget to reach outcomes. This involves setting goals for approved metrics and objectives and working with the groups listed above to achieve them.

This position is critical in the Missionary Executive Council’s priorities to increase positive understanding of the church and help members share the gospel in order to contribute to fulfilling the purpose of inviting others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored Gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and His atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end.

This position requires is a hybrid position which requires the following:

  • In Office - Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays
  • Work from Home - Mondays and Fridays

Responsibilities

50-60% - Set goals, make plans, and carry them out to achieve outcomes for approved seasonal initiative member activation efforts—especially the Giving Machine Initiative. This includes:

  • Working with contracted services to identify, onboard, and coordinate with charities

  • Working with vendors to create, share, and implement training materials and assets

  • Coordinate with area staff and designated leaders to identify, train, and provide ongoing support to volunteers

  • Managing equipment logistics and administrative tasks, including managing contracts worldwide

10-20% - Track global outcomes from member activation efforts, including putting systems in place to obtain data and evaluate effectiveness of each effort and location

10-20% - Test and evaluate additional member activation efforts

10% - Assist in creating executive presentations to receive guidance and approvals for assigned efforts and also to report back on results.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Business, or Marketing or related field, with 5 year's experience in SEO, Organic and Social Media marketing or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Program and/or project management experience.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong numerical aptitude and accuracy.
  • Demonstrable expertise in use of Microsoft Office, including creation of PowerPoint presentations.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to organize information in a clear and meaningful way.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience managing and leading an agency team and additional outside media partners.
