Who You'll Work With:

The Information Technology (IT) organization is the technological foundation of our business and works in collaboration with our partners from across the company. The team drives technology and digital transformation and partners with business leaders to design and execute new strategies across the company. They also ensure the necessary IT risk management and security measures are in place and aligned with enterprise architecture standards and principles. 

About the Role:

IT leader responsible for end to end delivery (Design, Build, Run) for the Corporate Services Platforms supporting Legal, Compliance and Real Estate

Responsibilities:

  • Application Lifecycle Management

  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of assigned applications, including deployment, maintenance, and retirement.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (system architecture, QA, DevOps, Security) to ensure alignment with business goals and technical requirements.

  • Monitor application performance and implement optimizations to enhance scalability, security, and user experience.

  • Lead an off-shore thirty party support team for the applications in the portfolio.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Act as the primary liaison between business units and technical teams to translate business needs into functional requirements.

  • Manage expectations of internal stakeholders (e.g. Security, finance, operations) and external partners (vendors, clients).

Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure applications comply with organizational policies, industry standards (e.g., NYDS, GDPR, ISO), and cybersecurity protocols.

  • Conduct / coordinate risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for vulnerabilities.

Budget & Resource Management

  • Oversee budgeting for application-related costs (licensing, infrastructure, support).

  • Prioritize resource allocation for upgrades, patches, and new features.

Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze user feedback and metrics (e.g., uptime, error rates) to drive iterative improvements.

  • Stay updated on emerging technologies (e.g., AI/ML, cloud-native solutions) to recommend innovation opportunities.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent work experienced required.

  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server and MS Office 0365.

  • Proficiency in SQL for troubleshooting and reporting (MS SQL, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL).

  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, VPNs, SSL/TLS.

  • Experience with identity and access management: Active Directory, LDAP, SSO, SAML, OAuth.

  • Familiarity with application and web servers

  • Experience with cloud-hosted platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

  • Administration of SaaS applications through vendor portals.

  • Understanding of multi-tenant architectures and vendor-managed updates.

  • Integration with enterprise platforms (e.g.,Workday, ServiceNow, Microsoft 365).

  • Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2).Installation, configuration, and patch management of packaged applications.

  • Experience with backups, restores, and disaster recovery planning.

  • Hardware and resource planning for application performance

  • License management and monitoring usage compliance

  • Familiarity with Waterfall and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Soft Skills

  • Experience supporting legal and compliance technology portfolios

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management. Problem-solving mindset with a focus on operational excellence.

  • Willing to do occasional on-call support for critical system issues. Vendor management and escalation coordination.

  • Excellent communication skills for end-user support, training, and documentation.

  • Collaborative, team-oriented approach with the ability to work across IT and business functions

Compensation:

For positions based in Jersey City, NJ the base salary range is $159,000 to $177,000 at the commencement of employment.  Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered will ultimately be dependent on multiple factors, which may include the candidate’s geographic location, skills, experience and other qualifications.

In addition, the position is eligible for a discretionary bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.

Work Location:

This position is based in Corebridge Financial’s Jersey City, NJ office and is subject to our hybrid working policy, which gives colleagues the benefits of working both in an office and remotely.
