The Role

Lincoln Tech's Whitestone campus needs an Academic Dean who can build and lead a high-performing academic operation. This is the senior academic leadership role on campus, reporting directly to the Campus President. You'll own academic quality, regulatory compliance, and student outcomes - but your first priority is clear: hire, train, and retain the instructors who make everything else possible.

What You'll Do

You'll run the academic side of the campus. That means managing Education Supervisors who oversee faculty, ensuring curriculum meets industry standards, tracking retention and graduation rates, and keeping the campus compliant with accreditation requirements. 

The job requires you to use data to spot problems early and fix them. You'll monitor student satisfaction surveys, retention benchmarks, and faculty turnover rates. When something's off, you'll build action plans and execute them.

You'll also manage the Lincoln Instructional Foundational Training (LIFT) program for new faculty, conduct classroom observations, and make sure instructors have what they need to succeed. Faculty performance is your responsibility, and so is creating a culture where good instructors want to stay.

What You Need

Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred. You need 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in higher education, with a strong preference for career or technical education backgrounds. You should know accreditation standards, understand compliance requirements, and have a track record of improving student retention and academic quality.

More importantly, you need to know how to lead people. You should be able to manage academic operations, hold faculty accountable, and work across departments to get things done. Strategic planning matters, but so does execution.
