About the role

This role provides essential administrative support to the assigned R&D RAS teams, primarily based in Hull, with occasional collaboration with colleagues in other UK locations.

You will deliver day-to-day admin support for Hull-based teams and departments, helping to streamline and centralise activities. Processing purchase orders and managing related documents and budgets will be a key part of this role and planning and coordination of large-scale team or site events. There will also be some assistance with international travel bookings and visa arrangements, handling general office management tasks and creating and maintaining distribution lists, and ensure timely sharing of important business communications.

Your responsibilities

  • Support any international travel plans for relevant department/teams, in liaison with Egencia support, including visa management.
  • Raise and process all Purchase Orders, including a log of all expenditure for non project related activities for the relevant teams/departments
  • Organise any key internal and external departmental/team meetings and events on and off site, supporting content creation and supporting any follow up actions on behalf of the team.
  • Support team/department by providing relevant support and information in relation to office management topics and redirecting activities/support to the relevant contact where appropriate
  • Ensure team/departmental distribution lists are up to date and assist with the production of suitable communications and facilitate the roll out of communications.
  • Support and play a key role in any site wide activities and events, supporting with logistics, communication and facilitation support.

The experience we're looking for

  • Good administrative skills with previous experience of working in an office environment
  • Able to demonstrate strong capabilities with all key Microsoft Office packages
  • Understanding of raising purchase orders and managing budgets
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Ability to work in a complex organisation within a matrix framework
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Agile and able to deal with time bound requests and problems
  • Resilient and able to respond under pressure
  • The business language in Reckitt is English, therefore fluency in English is essential
