Their software offers simple answers to specific business needs, including time and activity management, HR management, employee engagement, and expense reporting.

Driven by an average annual growth of 40% and ambitious international expansion plans, our client is strengthening their presence in Europe. With a workforce of 750 employees located in France (Paris, Marseille, Nantes), Spain (Barcelona), Switzerland (Geneva, Basel), and now Germany (Munich), they are seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to lead the growth of their operations in the German market.

Description

As Senior Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in expanding the company’s presence in Germany. You will be responsible for driving commercial success, identifying new opportunities, and building a strong local sales structure.

Reporting directly to the Country Manager Germany, you will actively contribute to the go-to-market strategy, source high-potential leads, and help establish the company as a key player in the local SaaS and HR tech market.

To be successful, you will collaborate with multiple internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Business Tech, etc.) and demonstrate both strategic vision and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Search for new business opportunities using all relevant channels (phone, email, LinkedIn, professional networks, etc.) and qualify inbound demand generated by the marketing team.
  • Understand the needs of potential clients in Germany and secure qualified appointments, both remotely and in person.
  • Present the company’s solutions and demonstrate their added value to prospective clients.
  • Prepare commercial offers, negotiate terms, and close deals.
  • Ensure a high level of client satisfaction and identify opportunities to sell additional solutions.
  • Suggest new sales techniques and optimize lead qualification strategies and processes.
  • Use CRM Salesforce and marketing automation tool Outreach with rigor and precision.
  • Support the development of the German sales structure by sharing best practices and mentoring new team members.

Requirements

This job is an excellent fit if you:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in sales or a related field.
  • Have a proven track record of success in full-cycle sales within the German market, preferably in a SaaS or subscription-based company.
  • Possess a strategic mindset and initiative, with the ambition to grow into a leadership role.
  • Have knowledge of the HR domain (preferred, though training will be provided).
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, and can effectively represent the company in Germany.
  • Are comfortable in a fast-paced environment, recover quickly from setbacks, and see challenges as opportunities for growth.
  • Enjoy working in an international team and value collaboration, curiosity, and good humor.
  • Are a native German speaker and fluent in English (required level C2), French basics would be a plus
