General Qualifications:
The Videographer is a Ministerial Support position. Ministerial Support staff serve in operational and service support roles are not required to affirm Mount Hermon Association, lnc.'s ("MHA") Christian mission, vision and beliefs. However, they are expected in the course of their employment to respect, work in
·harmony with, and not undermine MHA's Christian mission, vision and beliefs. Non-Ministerial staff join into our community life of prayer, worship and spiritual activity, including but not limited to staff meetings, attendance at programs, Bible Study , and staff gatherings.
Position Objective:
The Videographer is responsible for creating beautiful, on-brand video content that tells an authentic story of who we are as an organization and how God is transforming lives at Mount Hermon.
Key Job Accountabiliti es:
- Plan, film, and edit video content for fundraising, Program events, capturing customer stories, external promotions, social media, product marketing, recruiting, corporate training and other organization-wide projects.
- Assist to script, storyboard, and select optimal forms of media for projects.
- Plan video shoots, including scouting, selecting, and reserving shoot locations.
- Edit all Mount Hermon video projects
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None
Education/Certification/Licenses:
- Bachelor's Degree in Videography or equivalent experience preferred.
Work Experience:
- Minimum two years of experience in video production preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must have a portfolio featuring many examples of branded and relevant footage.
- Expertise in the creative suite, as well as video editing and motion graphic programs - Illustrator, lnDesign, Photoshop, After Effects and Final Cut Pro.
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
Physical Demands:
The physical environment requires the employee to work at a desk on a computer for the majority of their day. Also requires the ability to see and use a computer and the ability to walk around camp, sometimes on trails and uneven terrain. Requires sitting, standing, squatting, stooping, twisting, ability to lift/carry 35 pounds.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be available to work weekends.
- Adherence to the basic principles as expressed in MHA's Mission, Vision, Values and Commitment statements.
- Adherence to company dress code and professional standards for personal grooming and appearance.
- Must agree to and comply with MHA's employee driving guidelines for MHA-owned vehicles and personal vehicles for business purposes.
- Satisfactory completion of background investigation, or valid work permit, as well as ability to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
