Position: Slot Attendant. Hourly: $16 per hour + shift/weekend differential, if applicable. Location: Gaming Division. Reports to: Slot Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
- Ensures that the highest standards of customer service are maintained in accordance with policies and procedures set forth by North Star Mohican Casino Resort.
- Responsible for doing minor maintenance on slot and video gaming machines.
- Must assist the slot supervisor when required, including obtaining change and assisting customers in any way possible.
- Must report all disputes, malfunctions, and complaints to the slot supervisor and/or slot technician.
- Must maintain an acceptable departmental attendance record.
- Must wear the approved departmental uniform.
- Must adhere to all established rules, regulations, procedures and policies of North Star Mohican Casino Resort and the Slot Department.
- Must adhere to the Casino’s Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy during employment.
- Must maintain compliance with all workplace policies, procedures, ordinances, laws, and other communicated expectations, including but not limited to: Employment Manual, Gaming Ordinance, State Gaming Compact, Tribal Internal Controls, Departmental Procedures, memos or other communication from supervisory or regulatory personnel.

Qualifications & Education:
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred. High School Diploma or GED is required if you are 19 years old and under.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Mohican Nation Gaming License.
- Must submit to a Criminal Investigation Background Check (CIB).
- Must submit to and pass a pre-employment drug screening and health screening.
- Must be flexible with schedule to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to work with a variety of people with diverse personalities.
- Must have a positive attitude and provide a teamwork structure within the department.
- Must be willing to enhance self-development and be willing to adapt to change.
- Must be willing to attend all applicable training.
- Must have demonstrated ability to maintain a satisfactory working record in any prior and/or current employment.
- Must be eligible for insurance under the employer’s liability insurance.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.

- Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
- Must be physically able to perform the job as outlined in the Physical Requirements/Work Environment listed below.
- Must possess effective communication skills and can interact with customers and employees in a positive manner.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
- Constant hand movements (repetitive motions: grasping, holding, use of finger dexterity).
- Frequent standing and walking and occasional bending, squatting, and reaching.
- Occasional lifting and/or moving up to thirty (30) pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus.
- Work is generally performed in a casino setting with a higher noise level and where cigarette smoke is prevalent.
- Evening and/or weekend work is required. Extended hours and irregular shifts may be required.
- Work environment requires excellent personal hygiene, due to working near others.
- The work environment is smoke-free, but dust levels depend upon location.
- Requires constant hand movements involving grasping, holding, and fine manipulation. Tasks include using hands to handle objects, tools, or controls, and reaching with hands and arms.
- Involves constant walking and standing, with potential for kneeling, crouching, and bending.
- Occasionally requires pushing, pulling, lifting, and moving objects weighing up to thirty (30) pounds.
- Job necessitates specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Work is typically conducted in a casino environment with moderate to high noise levels and exposure to cigarette smoke.
- The work area is smoke-free, with varied noise levels and is dust-free.
