Job Overview
Key Account Manager (KAM) is responsible for sales and category development within our Pet division. Develops and maintains relationships within the Pet grooming category for national and regional accounts. Works with multiple internal teams to ensure the needs of the customer are met. Develops programs and strategies to maximize sales opportunities within assigned accounts as well as seek out new business opportunities within the Pet grooming category.
Duties and Responsibilities
Sales(HQ)
- KAM responsibilities include but are not limited to developing long-term relationships with a portfolio of clients, connecting key business executives and stakeholders and is the liaison between customers and cross-functional internal/external teams to ensure timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs.
- End to end management of Pet customers across multiple sales channels meeting monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals to include but not limited to below:
- New and existing item and assortment maintenance to include strategy, dimensions, pricing, distribution
- Performance reporting and communications at category and customer level - internal and external
- Maintain customer portal requirements as required by retailer and manage all other business-related contracts/document transactions required to initiate or maintain the Tweezerman Pet business
- Maintain knowledge and understanding of Pet category customer performance within the marketplace via Circana/Nielsen and/or other sources that are specific to customer engagement
- Weekly order management as necessary (to include cuts and item management issues that require maintenance to process orders).
- Supply Chain - manage weekly, monthly, quarterly supply requirements by retailer with internal and external teams.
- Manage all Pet customer presentations for both internal and external meetings.
- Maintain/Manage customer financials both internal and external to include trade spend, secondary placement opportunities, promo calendars, deduction management, customer scorecards etc.
- Source, pitch, and develop new business within Pet category existing or new customers and in new or existing categories, ensuring profitability and ROI.
- Support new Pet product launches and marking initiatives aligning with retailer growth plan and strategy, including utilizing category data.
Qualifications
- B.S. degree preferred, Associate’s degree required.
- 3-5 years’ experience required.
- Background in CPG industry required, Pet category experience preferred.
- Drop ship experience preferred.
- Strong analytical ability, familiar with Syndicated/Portal Data/IRI, POS.
- Superior presentation skills, problem solving, interpersonal skills.
- Candidate should be bright, energetic and a quick study.
- Proficient in Power Point, Excel and easily adaptable to internal software programs.
- Team player, excellent oral and written communication skills.
Physical Requirements
This position must be able to move about the building along with sit for prolonged periods of time with finger and wrist dexterity with repetitive motion. This position requires domestic travel. Individual must be able to obtain necessary documents for travel.

The expected base salary for this position is estimated. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, budget, and location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in our competitive bonus program with the possibility of overachievement based on performance and company results, as well as participation in the company's profit-sharing program.
