About the Program:
Master Builders Solutions is looking for motivated, hands-on students to join our Technical Sales & Operations Internship Program. This internship offers a comprehensive learning experience that blends technical sales training, field exposure, and professional development within the construction chemicals industry.
What You’ll Gain:
- Exposure to company operational and safety policies
- Understanding of the ordering, dispatching, and delivery processes
- Field experience traveling with Territory Managers and Dispenser Service Technicians visiting customer sites, and observing plant operations
- Real-time learning through “windshield discussions” about sales strategy, concrete technology, and market-specific nuances
- Practical experience with dispensing equipment, including its components, operation, calibration, and troubleshooting
- Hands-on involvement in QA/QC testing at plants and job sites—understanding how concrete properties change in transit, plastic concrete testing and job site acceptance
- Gain hands-on experience in a state-of-the-art materials lab, contributing to R&D initiatives and conducting analysis on the physical and mechanical properties of concrete.
- Possible opportunities to make a sales pitch to a customer for a Master Builders Solutions product
- Presentation to the leadership team showcasing key learnings and experiences
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with technical service support across assigned projects
- Observe and learn from experienced professionals in sales, operations, and R&D
- Participate in field evaluations and product testing
- Support internal teams with data gathering and reporting, specific to each market/customer needs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gain a full view of the business
- Engage in customer interactions under supervision
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a Degree in Construction Industry Management (CIM), with at least 1 semester completed within the program.
- ACI Level 1 Certification obtained prior to internship start date, preferred
- Minimum 3.0 GPA (cumulative)
- Willingness to travel regionally with field representatives
- Strong communication skills and a desire to learn in a hands-on environment
Preferred Skills:
- Interest in concrete materials, technical sales, or construction science
- Problem-solving mindset and adaptability in the field
- Great communication skills, both verbal and written
