The Position:
We are recruiting for a limited Service (Substitute) Cook who will be responsible for providing assistance in all areas of food preparation according to planned/approved CACFP guidelines; serving clients; receiving and storing supplies; and maintaining a clean and orderly kitchen and equipment. This will be an on-call position.
At a minimum, a high school diploma or GED. Experience is preferred.

The Limited Services (Substitute) is responsible for assisting in the classroom or center as directed by the Center Coordinator/Lead Teacher.
Specific Responsibilities:
Specific responsibilities will vary depending on the area in which a Limited Services worker is serving. Responsibilities may include classroom responsibilities, food service responsibilities, and/or custodial responsibilities as assigned by the Center Coordinator/Lead Teacher. In addition to those assigned duties, all Limited Services Substitutes must:
- Follow the established policy for reporting suspected child abuse
- Understand, respect and maintain confidential information regarding children, families, and program
- Be courteous and receptive to all Head Start staff, parents, and children
- Respond appropriately to crisis or emergency situations that may occur
- All other duties assigned
Education:
For classroom substitutes, a high school diploma or GED equivalent is required. A CDA/TCC or some course work in Early Childhood Education is preferred. For food service and custodial service substitutes, a high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
Other: Valid Georgia Driver’s License
