JOB TITLE: Flight Crew Training Specialist

DEPARTMENT: Crew Resources

REPORTS TO: Manager of Crew Resources

SHIFT: Monday- Friday 

LOCATION: Ypsilanti, MI  

    

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for all communication, scheduling, and integration between the training department, pilots, and Crew Resources.    

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Oversees all IOE/ OE pilot training schedules 
  • Works in unison with Training to ensure IOE, OE and Line Check events are scheduled and tracked to maintain FAR compliance 
  • Responsible for scheduling all currency, consolidation, NAT, and crew line checks 
  • Ensures all take off and landing requirements are tracked and scheduled 
  • Monitors all communication between training and Crew Resources 
  • Compiles a weekly training report to proactively schedule and coordinate all training related items 
  • Resolves any training related conflicts 
  • Any other duties assigned by management

 QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining accuracy and a positive attitude
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Advanced skills in use of MS Office 2016 to include Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical ability
  • Strong command of the English language with solid writing skills
  • Experience in the Airline industry and/or customer service is a plus

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 

  1. High school graduate; some college and/or technical school desirable. 
  2. Must have a good working knowledge of world geography and flight operations. 
  3. Must possess exceptional attention to detail and abstract problem-solving capabilities. 
  4. Experience in the airline industry is a plus. 

LANGUAGE SKILLS: 

Ability to read, write and understand spoken and written English. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: 

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
