Summary: The purpose of this role is to; establish, develop and maintain strong school and community partnerships by managing all aspects of existing peer support services and participate in the ongoing enhancement and expansion of this service. In addition, this role is essential in the student engagement efforts and ensuring that all content, education and efforts are relatable and engaging to students as well as parents, community leaders, professionals and other stakeholders.
Schedule: M-F 8am-5pm with occasional evening or weekend events; this can be temporary if needed to start.
Compensation: $56,000 - $59,000 DOQ
Key Responsibilities:
Peer Support Management
- Manage all KTT Peer Support Services, including further developing the framework for this newly established service
- Develop and refine peer support group curriculum
- Manage Peer Recovery Support Specialists
- Ongoing evaluation of peer support services
- Build and maintain strong relationships within partner school districts
Youth Engagement
- Manage program presenters, including hiring, onboarding, and work closely with Prevention Education Manager to provide ongoing training and ensure effective, engaging presentations are being delivered
- Work closely with the Prevention Education Manager to ensure evidenced-based prevention education curriculum is relatable and engaging to youth
- Helping with the community education content, ensuring that it is engaging and effective
- Frequently participate in webinars and conferences in order to remain on the forefront of student chemical health needs
Community Relations
- Strong involvement in community collaboration by; attending monthly networking meetings, coalitions and connecting with strategic partners, focusing on youth engagement
- Support KTT events and professional trainings by; identifying key partners, areas of impact, overall goals/ objectives for events and attend meetings with partners to ensure high level of engagement & overall event success
- Assist in funding efforts; campaigns, grant content writing, etc.
- Ensure team members have a clear understanding of program and event goals/ objectives.
- Work closely with program coordinator in order to build strong relationships with key partners as events are being planned/ built out
- Assist in framework and overall goals for FSTS Conference
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Peer Recovery Support Specialist Certification, or ability to acquire
- Certified Prevention Professional Licensure, or ability to acquire
- Excellent verbal and written communication, relationship management and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to make effective, sound, timely, and informed decisions independently.
- Self-starter able to work independently.
- Ability to model appropriate boundaries.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite programs, Word, Excel, Power Point.
